I read the thread that chastised a person for using test king since it is a dump. I went to search for test king on the net but it looked like any other test prep site.
What are some legit test prepatory materials that are not dumps and are not cheating?

What constitutes a dump and what is legit? How can I tell. I want to learn the material legitimately. Thanks for any info.

Hey Rory1-

Braindumping is unethical and violates the agreement that you accept when you take a Microsoft exam. Any study material that includes information found on the MS exams is in violation of this agreement. Unfortunately, there are a lot of brain dump sites out there and it can be kind of hard to tell which is a brain dump site and which is not. As a general rule of thumb, if the study material is realtively cheap and covers exam questions, it probably contains "brain dump" questions.

Alternative (and legitimate) study tools:

Train Signal (my company) - real world Labs & Video Training
Transcenders - test questions
Prep Logic - test questions
CBT Nuggets - video training

Good Luck & let me know if you have any other questions.

How is braindumping possible? How are people able to obtain the real questions? Do they have photographic memories? Do they steal them from test sites? I took 70-210 and to be honest there is no way I would be able to recall verbatim a single question. I wasn't allowed any paper or writng materials so i couldn't write them down if I wanted to.

"An Inside job" is probably the best explanation as to how the exam questions get out. The "exam taker" knows the person in charge of the testing center or the person who signs in candidates and watches them, etc... (you get the idea). I highly doubt they write the questions down, digital cameras, cell phone with pic capabilities, etc... is used.

Some testing centers couldn't care less what you are doing while you are taking your test. I have taken tests at testing centers before where the administrator of the test was no where to be seen for 30 minutes after my test was completed. I found out later she had gone home to take care of her kids for a couple of hours while I was taking my test. Belive it or not, there are many testing centers that are this lax. With a digital camera, you can quickly have a copy of every question on your test.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

Scott
