Hi everybody,

As my subject suggests. I am very new to the certification deal.

I was looking into gaining MCSE certification and would appreciate any advice/tips on where to start/how to get going and succeed.

thanks

if you have some computer knowlegde, then go for the 210 or 270 exams
if you are starting from zero
i'll sugest you consider A+ and N+
anyway you can apply those exams to MCSA in your way to MCSE
if you wanna do good in the field, forget about using dumps or crams, you need hands on
in the future you will find out that real problems in the field never get solved by looking the answers in dumps or crams
you can set up a 3 computer network to practice
if you are short in funds, used pc's start at $50 if you shop around

feel free to ask question here

practice, practice, practice! mastering your hands on experience is the most important part of your preparations. find a good book or study guide (Sybex, New Riders, etc..), real all the material several times, do all the labs and try the understand how the OS is working. then find a good practice exam software and practice until you pass all the exams. transcender and easycert are the best out there.

good luck!

To be honest if your new to IT just learn the basics to get A+, Network+ and maybe MCP or something to that affect. There are a lot of MCSE's with no experience and no job. Now I don't mean don't study or learn MS stuff, it just doesn't go over well with employers when you have the cert and no experience at that level. If you've got any experience ignore this post. Good Luck!
