| Hi,
How in-depth is the 70-210 exam regarding RIS installations? I've read the chapter on Deploying Windows 2000 but it seems to skimp on the section of RIS installations.
My MS Press book just basically states that you need a PXE capable NIC with supported BIOS or you can create a network boot disk using RBFG.exe. DNS, DHCP, and AD must also be present for RIS to be an option.

| You basiclly should know the requirements for a RIS installation and the basic process on how it works. | |

| Although u may find hundreds of questions about RIS in those question of the day sites what you really need to know is just the basics. | |

| Thanks a lot guys. I see my 70-217 exam book dedicated a whole chapter to the RIS process so I guess the 70-210 exam won't go too much into it since it's more of a server side component.
My exam is coming up on the 18th so I'm getting very nervous and excited.

| RIS still is a lot of Fun to play with, i did a few RIS-Installations, before i took the Test. And it installs the OS faster than off a CD.
I don't remember a lot of RIS-Questions coming up in the Test, though.

| I can't seem to get my RIS to work. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have DNS, DHCP and AD but the client doesn't seem to be able to get an IP address during the PXE. I only have 1 server in my lab environment. Maybe my PXE version is wrong because MS says it must be .99c to work and they specified either 3com, Intel or Award PXE code. My PXE code is Argon. | |
