Hi there
I had decided to re-create partitions and formatting my friend's computer yesterday, but it seems the computer doesn't support booting from CD neither from Floppy disk. (the computer now has one primary partition, a extended partition with three logical drives and Windows ME is installed on C drive). So I wanted to make the Floppy and CD as first and second boot device by accessing to BIOS setting. But I can't press Delete during starting the computer to access the BIOS Setting. I saw the system information of the computer, there is an empty space in front of the BIOS name? After checking the hardware by the third-party software, I saw that there is a BOIS on the computer. It seems that the BOIS is disappear!! Would you please tell me what's wrong? And what should I do to bring the BOIS back on pressing DEL during starting the computer up?

Have you tried reseting the CMOS? (clear CMOS jumper and/or removing the CMOS battery for 10-15 minutes)

When we use F5 and when we use F6? I know that we use them for installing HAL, but I don't know what are the differences between them. Thanks
