| Well I took my 70-210 test this morning and I failed. I was really quite surprised that I had failed. The exam really took me by surprise. Not at the difficulty of the exam, just the information that I was asked. My exam had no and I mean no NTFS permissions or share permission questions, and like 1 RIS questions, most of my exam was comprised of stuff from 215 or even 218 for that matter, with a high emphasis on command promt commands and switches. Oh well, gonna study my 215 and recently acquired 2nd edition mspress 218 book and then go back and take all 3 the same week. | |

| hey dont worry...com on u have to accept that u failed...and u need to realize that microsoft is making exams harder every day due to the increasing number of braindumps...well i think we are in the same boat here coz...i failed my 215 the first time i did it..the 2nd time i got 920...so theres always hope...so give it the best u got...u realy have to know the concepts rather than memorizing braindumps...well thaz what i did first and hey mr.gates is watching...better luck next time... | |

| I work in the IT field, I'm an assistant network specialist, tier 2. I work on Win2k all the time and I pretty much do it in my sleep, hint the massive amount of study time I establish. I study the 210 mspress book and understand concepts and ideas and if tested on solely 210 book i'd pass, thing is that they threw a lot of server stuff at me which I have not studied 215 book. Silly rabbit, braindumps are for kids. People that use them have something else coming to them in the real IT world, heh. I'm gonna read through 215 and 218 and go take all three around the same time, then ask for a raise when i achieve MCSA status, lol | |

One of the problems that I discovered early on was if you just studied Microsoft press or MOC material for the test that it was published for, like 210, that not all the information was covered. From what I've heard, the people at Microsoft that prepare their books and the people that prepare their test don't talk to each other. So the Microsoft material usually does not cover everything on the test and many times does not even come close to covering everything that you need to learn for the test. I think this applies to most of the books on the market. You really need several sources. My suggestions:
1. Use more than one reference when studying (ex. books, magazine, TechNet, other web sites, anything you can find)
2. Take as many practice tests as you can get your hands on.
3. Find the answerer to every question that you get wrong and now why you got the answer wrong. The more questions you see the more possible way of seeing a question asked.
4. Learn how to research. This will also help when you get a job.
Good luck. | |

Really sorry to hear about you failing, yes most questions on share and ntfs you will find in the 215 exam. They really want you to cover all the 210, 215,218 before you take the exams, and then take them all together. Even in the 215 exam there is question for the managing a windows 2000 network environment 218 questions. Do some practise tests for the 210 and c how you go, best of luck next time.

| Think of it this way - someone could have told you what was going to be on the test, but now that you've taken it, you know it yourself. Turn around and sign up again.
I did prefer the old style test results, that broke down the test into various objectives and told you how you performed on each objective. That way, if you were close, you would know what areas you needed to focus on. I never figured out their rationale for changing that.
Take a look at 70-270 - Windows XP Pro. I thought it was an excellent exam - no tricks, nothing really obscure, just very comprehensive.

| I failed my exam last month cause they had some server questions on it like SAP and 61 questions instead of 50 it threw me for loop. I'm scheduled for retake on the 30 of this month I've studied 70-215 so much I may be ready by next month. | |

| You'll be great next time! Just take as many practice exams as you can. MS tries to fool us with very tricky questions sometimes. It is very important to understand what they are asks you exactly in the question. You can try Transcender or EasyCert from www.jrksoftware.com. With these, you'll feel very comfortable when you sit for the test next time.
Good luck friend! |
