Tronn is the administrator of a Windows 2000 Professional computer.

He wants to use Windows Backup to back up the registry, boot files, and the Component Services class registration database.

What should he do? (Select the best choice)

A. Back up the system partition

Good luck and see you tomorrow for the answer!!

Good question.

It is B and a question such as this will most likely be on the exam.

From Q322755:
"To back up the whole registry, use the Backup utility to create an Emergency Repair Disk (ERD), or back up the System State (which includes the registry, the COM+ Class Registration database, and your boot files)."

Translation: You can use the Backup to create an ERD *and/or* backup the registry, system state etc.

PS You weren't being a smart arse. Anyway that job is taken

And the answer is......B

Backing up the System State data via Windows Backup will allow him to back up the registry, boot files, and the Component Services Class registration database.
