| Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone had used Mastering Windows 2000 Professional by Mark Minasi? I have that and the Sybex MCSE 2000 Pro and I was just wondering about any feedback on these books. I've used Win2k for about a year now at home and I think its the logical step after I take my Network+ exam next week. Thanks in advance! | |

| much more info in the Minasi book than you will ever actually need for the test but nonetheless, an excellent reference while studying and when you're not.
don't know about the other book since i haven't used it.
logical choice? yes. | |

| Mark Minasi's Mastering Windows 2000 series are excellent books, though I would prefer the newer Server 4th edition for the expanded Active Directory section. It makes for an excellent reference, but if you read it from cover to cover, it will take you awhile to finish as its over 1500 pages long. Yep, going the MCSA/MCSE route after Network+ and A+ is logical. G'luck! | |

| Thanks, the books do seem really deep. I got 2000 Pro, Server, AD, and Registry from Computer Books Direct. They don't read like certification books, but I'm looking to learn as much as pass the exams. | |

| The resource kit is the best book out there for this exam. |
