| Whats up with this exam. I took it twice studying with trancender and both times I went in to take it none of the XXXXin questions were like on the trancender. How did you all go about studying for it. Also why the hell do they make you wait two weeks to have to retake it if you fail on the second attempt?????? | |

| Trancender should not be the only study resouce that you use. They cannot give the same question, it is the idea behind the question that you need to get. At this point, you should get a book, sit down and read it... There is no short cuts, sorry.
Concept is everything... stay focused and be patient and REALLY understand the matterials!
Good luck! | |

I hope Transcenders weren't your only study material. If it is, then I know exactly why you failed.

| Are you using a study guide such as the ones available from MS Press or New Riders? I would encourage you to use two study guides for each exam as no one study guide will cover completely all the objectives.
Have you installed W2k on a system and performed all the exercises? You are not going to learn the product unless you get your hands on it.
Most prepare for 210 & 215 together, because the two overlap quite a bit. You will find a number of questions pertaining to W2K server on the W2K Pro exam. I advise that you prepare for both of them at the same time also. Once you begin preparing for 215, you will see what I am talking about.
Do yourself a favor and do a search via google for sites that provide MCSE/MCSA "questions of the day". You can begin with this site. Subscribe for all the exams you plan on taking in the future and begin building a bank of practice questions.

I don't know, I've never failed an exam and if you take the time to prepare thoroughly, you won't fail anymore either. Good luck!

| Take the advice of Zaraspook - it's right on the mark.
Try reading the explanations on the Transcender questions and scramble the answer choices on your exams to discourage you from remembering where the answer was vs what the answer was. But do be sure to know WHY it is or isn't the right answer.
I've only failed one exam but passed it the very next day - why do they make you wait 2 weeks for third attempt? Because part of the problem with the dumps was people were retaking and purposely failing these tests time after time after time to get exposed to the full set of questions in the pool Now they're telling us people are bringing small cameras into the test and taking screen shots to sell.
Another reason to make you wait the two weeks is to force you to go back and focus on what you think may have been your weak spots.
Was there any one subject matter that you felt you were hit particularly hard with? Like maybe RIS... 210 still gives a score doesn't it? Were you close to passing or nowhere near the pass mark?

| Well, I'll tell you that I'm not about to take this puppy just yet... I've been studying out of the Microsoft Press book for 11 weeks now in class, that is, we got through chapter 17, and now I have to do the rest on my own. I just took the final tonight and I only missed one question, and didn't miss any on the mid-term. Anyway my point is you shouldn't just go out and take a test unless you feel like throwing you money away! There is real studying to be done not just relying on tests or braindumps to get you the cert you desire. It seems to me you either were looking for the easy way out or had no idea the test was hard??
Anyway get yourself a book, there are plenty of good ones out there, and you don't have to go very far to find recommendations
Good luck next time. | |

| Yes trancender was the only thing I used to prpare for the test. I did read through a couple of books perhaps not as much as I thought I should have. Failed it 3 times as of yesterday. I do agree and think trancenders explanations and overall feel for the test was adequate. But as far as actual simulation of the real thing goes. I maybe had two questions at the most that resembled what was on the trancender. I will take the advice here and hopefully next time around will pass it. Thanks. | |

| No they did away with the score when I went to take it yesterday. The first time I got 360 out of 540. The second time I went to take it I got 460 out of 540. Now they did away with the score so I don't know how the hell I did. | |
