Could not vote on the two choice ,I used ExamEssentials for the A+ and found it to be very helpfull and plan to use it for NET+ and WIN2K along with Transcender .Those will be my 2 major practice software programs and hope they wont let me down.

Heard alot of good feedback on both of them.

Good Luck

I've never used either. I prefer to read books & practice in a live setup. The best selftest is a live setup(if possible) to test/try things & Microsoft's website. If you can get your hands on Technet CD's, those are great too.

My employer has CBT's from Smart Certify Direct that we are allowed to user for free. I must say these are pretty impressive. They would be great for anyone doing self study that does have a live setup. I only sampled it for a few chapters, but it was impressive. They not only allow you to read about a concept (like setting up a RAS, Sysprep Image, or applying a GPO), but you get to go through the steps in an actual simulation. You can't advance on the lesson until you have completed all the steps successfully. The questions at the end of the lesson are not like the one's on the actual tests either. But I believe that is the point. These are not meant to give you answers like a dump site, it's meant to have you actually perform & learn the process/concept. Besides, they also have a money back guarantee if you don't pass. Sounds too good to be true, but they are actually designed very well!

I hear they are pretty spendy, but you can get the price down pretty rapidly if you keep fighting with them. A friend of mine signed up for the demo online, and when they called him to purchase the full MCSE kit, he kept declining the offer. Said he was in school, didn't have the time or money, different excuses... When it was all said & done he paid $1400 for the entire kit, which they originally said would cost around $5,000! Not bad. Plus they have a site you can get an IT loan through, and he said the interest rate was decent too. Something like 12.9%. Another guy I know had the course paid for through the military. He said it was the best simulatioin he's ever had & he learned all the concepts & he's never even booted up a PC running W2K Server. Again, very impressive to get that hands on learning a lot less then those MCSE schools, Boot Camps, or even setting up your own test environment.

Sorry for the winded response, I just thought I'd share that story...

It's hard to decide which selftest software is better.

Transceder offers a good engine supporting all types of questions. Exhibits are clear and accurate. In addition, they offer very good explanations to their questions. However, they cover the exam objectives but the questions are not close to the real things. Also, Transcenders are very expensive.

EasyCert offers a very stable and usable testing engine, which supports all types of questions. Exhibits are clear and accurate. Explanations are very helpful. Their questions are very close to the real questions, and you’ll feel very comfortable while taking the real exam. Finally, one of the important benefits is the price (comparing with Transcenders.)

Well, the two products have their advantages and disadvantages over each other and it is hard to decide which one is better. In my opinion, these are the best on the market. I’ll vote to EasyCerts.

No more Transcenders for me.
I failed 215 after using Transcenders last Year, then did a lot of Labs, Hands-on, try-outs.
Read the Moc and MS Training Kit.
And passed.
With 70-218 i used www.Examsimulators.com and passed with flying Colors.
Their Explanation is awesome and it gets to be pretty true to the Test.And- it doesn't cost an Arm and a Leg.
Don't get me wrong:
Without Hands-on, you will fail!

just my two

I agree with Deja-vue, Transcenders help me fail will flying colors. Don't use them, instead invest your money in a good Sybex doorstopper. Hands-on is a must if you want to pass and that is where my downfall is. I work with an NT network.

I agree with Deja-vue and ruscorp,

Transcender fail me with my first exam !!!!
Now I'll use EasyCert and I hope it is really mutch better than Transcender.

As I saw so far from the free 30 questions EasyCert really is good.
