| Passed 70-210 yesterday...still recovering. Thought I was WAY prepared going in...have studied both it and 70-215 out of the MS Training curriculum, have a lab, Transcenders, lots of other practice tests, etc. I try to keep track of my progress while taking tests so I can gauge my score. I make 2 columns on my scratch paper, one for questions I don't know but best guess on, and another column for questions I'm pretty sure about but not positive. I did that with Transcenders and it helps give an idea of how hard you need to go over the questions marked for review. I had 19(!) hashes in those columns...12 within the first 25 questions. Needless to say half-way through the test I was wondering if it was vain effort. Fortunately I came out of it with an 820. They asked questions on things I never saw mentioned anywhere. And yes I studied....hard.
I don't want to put unnecessary fear into anyone. I could have just gotten a bad draw on the questions. My recommendation (in hindsight)...do the due diligence and study the materials and take the practice tests, but also consciously practice making best guesses given what you know about Microsoft and the way they design their product to work. I think that helped save my behind. I hope 70-215 is easier! | |

| so someone esle does the scratch paper thing, i thought it was just me. i do it slightly different though, I wright down the question numbers and against each one i put one of the following
a tick - if i'm sure of the answer
a percentage - 25/50/75 depending number of answers and how many i've eliminated
a cross - self explanatory.
before i start i work out approximately how many questions i would need to get right to pass
when i comes to review i go through the crosses to make then percentages then i look at the percentage ones and try to improve those to ticks | |

| great going jsrockford. if u had 2 make educated guesses with some of the questions it sounds like u have the making of a good engineer! |
