| hi all, recently passed a+ and working towards win2000 track. question is, in win 9x you have msconfig and other troubleshooting ultilties where and what do you have in win 2000. tried to access msconfig and nothing evenfrom cmd nothing. where do i look for startup errors and bad files? any help would be so appreciated. thx | |

Jombee nailed it. MMC & event viewer are some of the best tools in W2K. Also you can use many great troubleshooting commands from the command prompt which you will learn about.
On a side note, if you want MSCONFIG in Windows 2000, all you need to do is copy it from a Win98/ME machine to the System folder and PRESTO... MSCONFIG in W2K!!! |
