i have cable internet,using a router with a built-in firewall.i want to connect from a pc within this network to a pc from another similar network.the router has a ip adress and assigns ip adresses to the computers within the network.please help me

Do the computers on the remote network have public ips or are they just private ips allowing them only to share the internet connection?

Sammy, I hope you do not think that posting the same thread in three different sub-forums will get you your answer quicker. All that I can see will happen is that you will probably get the same questions and suggestions three times, and of course preventing a cumaltive thread containing possible solutions.

Most members when they visit have a gander at new threads, and do not just concentrate on one sub-forum.
