Got shot down on the first time.

The exam questions are long and confusing.

I thought that I passed, but the result come out bad.

I don't know what part to study, but to restart everything again

Sorry to hear that, I feel for you .You have all the right to be piss off but by tomorrow you'll remember your weak spots when you pick up the book and than go ACE it on next try. Hang in there.

Yeah Microsoft tests are well known for the long-winded questions. When I took this test I marked the long ones and answered all of the others the best I could. I went back to the marked questions read them, reread them and took my best educated guess. It worked for me I passed. Try to blow over all of the information that isn't relevant to the question and read the question and answers more than once, the answers may be almost identical with only one word or even the spelling making the difference. I hope this helps, and good luck on the next attempt.

That's what I hate about MS two novels per question. It's ridiculous and their questions are so warped that 60% hardly occurs in the field itself. I read the NewRiders bok along with a study guide. Just recollect your studying strategies

That's a drag - sorry to hear it. I will definitely be following the "mark the long ones" advice. As I stated in another thread, those are the ones that freak me out anyway so they will get the majority of my time.

Thanks,

About 60% of them is not common and to me it don't seem to be the best answer for the question, but all the choose look very misleading. So. I will try on next Monday again.

I am sure that I know all the general area, but somehow the situation and long question get me. They asked very detail about the path and the location of how to do something.

Like cipher /switch, share folder, sync, secedit, ...

And the worst thing is you don't which part you got wrong. It don't tell you on the paper like Novell and Cisco.

I'll be sure to get clear on the command line items you indicated - switches included. I take the test tomorrow morning and like you, if it doesn't go well tomorrow I'll be retesting either Friday or Monday.

Did you find that practice exams were helpful? I am concerned that I am gaining false confidence from them because they are too easy. I have been using Transcenders, Sybex books & CD, Test Out CDs and Beachfront. My results average between 70 & 80% on these. I am trying to focus on the material and not just the test questions - obviously, if we know the former, the latter is a piece of cake.

Keep at it....I think most have failed at least once (I did)....but inside I knew where I as weak...so I studied lightly on the stuff I was sure of and spent most of my effort on where there was doubt in me.

For the long winded questions...MS Readiness Review is a good book for getting used to HOW to read those questions. Through those books, I've gotten pretty good at mentally , scratching out the trivial parts of the question.

Good luck on the retake

Good luck on your exam.

I think I need to refresh and study more in detail.

In general, I believe everybody got all objective cover. Just a matter of applying.

Anyway, I will try again

Sorry to hear about that.
I look forward to hearing the results of your next exam. Not passing does not mean a fail,it simply means that the next time we must be better prepared.
Have you tried any of the test sites?
Examnotes seems to feel strongly for www.Cert21
They also have a barrage of test questions.
Best of Luck

Thanks. I'll be glad when this first one is over - pass or fail - then I'll know what I'm dealing with whether it's the 210 again or on to the 215.
