hi, just passed my N+ on Friday and now starting on the mcp 70-210, on my way towards MCSA, I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with learnkey CD's as I have the chance of getting the MCSE course at a good price, which includes 210 and 215, or if anyone can suggest a good study book or something that would be a big help.

also as I don’t yet work in the I.T. industry I was wondering what sort of position my A+ & N+ would get me.

Thanks .............

Congrads on the Net+.
For your MCP test use either of 2 books;

MS Press Kit or the NewRiders book
Stack it with the Transcender module.

And you are sure to pass, require you do study

Same recomend what cross36 said.

Try doing a search on this forum on the learning key cd, also do a search on the
certifications and IT forum.
You might want to try volunteering for a non-profit group to get expearnce.

I would also recomend what (nic)Freak recomends is to get three PC 's and make
two Domain Controllers and one client network to pratice on

Don't use PC('s) that will have pesonal files on that you can't loose.

I have the Learnkey series and I like them. However, they are somewhat expensive! If you can manage to get them at a good price without breaking the bank I'd say get them. They are not 100% totally comprehensive for each cert, but overall do cover the majority of the objectives well. The advantages to them are excellent expert classroom instruction, fantastic demonstrations and simulations, also there are challenge simulation excercises, which help you hit your lab running, and of course, challenge test at the end of each CD, which cover all modules that were covered by that CD. Another major advantage is you can watch the modules you are weak on over and over until it's drilled in. Use the Learkey series with a comprehensive book, do tons of practice excercises on your personal lab, and you have the perfect formula for a successful certification process. Good luck!
