Author Domain question!

I have another question!

12. You are upgrading your Windows NT 4.0 domain controllers to a Windows 2000 domain controllers over the weekend to lessen the impact on users. You have three NT 4.0 servers that act as domain controllers and offer no other services. Before upgrading your NT 4.0 domain controllers to Windows 2000, what steps should you take to allow the quickest recovery if the upgrade should fail? (Please choose the best answer.)
A.Synchronize all domain controllers and take one of the BDCs off-line.
B.Synchronize all domain controllers and back up all servers to tape.
C.Run Rdisk.exe on the Primary Domain Controller and save this information to a floppy disk.
D.No additional steps are necessary. Windows 2000 will allow you to do an uninstall of Windows 2000 Server if the installation fails.

My answer is A, as I had read about this in the Win2K Professional kit. But when I read the last sentence of the question again : "What steps should you take to allow the quickest recovery if the upgrade should fail?"
Should I then asnwer it as B?

Thank you!

I would have to say B on this. If you were doing an incremental upgrade, that would be different. With a full upgrade you should always backup the system. Otherwise known as CYA.
