Yes
Also edit the boot.ini file on your boot drive and remove the windows 98 line.

erase the windows folder... their programs files associated, etc... and later edit the boot.ini file....

boot.ini contains the pointers and info about your partitions and Operating systems.

Its located in the root folder of your hard disk. It think its hidden, so you must configure your explorer to show hidden and system files.

after that, you can access the boot.ini file from My computer, click on your hard disk and when you see the contents of your hard disk (this is your root) here you can see the boot.ini file

The root folder of the local hard disk would be your "C" drive.

If your search for the boot.ini file (which is hidden, like cm2gj said) you should find it in C:\ (which is the "root" folder of your local hard drive)
