And today's poser is ....

Q58. Frank from the Human Resources department has just left the company. Alison will take Frank's place starting on Monday. How can you set Alison up with the same rights and permissions with the least administrative effort?

A. Delete Frank's Account. Create a new account for Alison and select to use the SID of an existing user. Choose the SID from Frank's account.

B. Delete Frank's Account. Create a new account for Alison using the same account name that Frank had.

C. Rename Frank's Account. Change the password on that account and assign it to Alison.

D. Copy Frank's user profile to Alison's user account.

Good Luck .... see you tomorrow for the answer!!

C. Rename Frank's Account. Change the password on that account and assign it to Alison.

The question do not mention nothing about a domain or workgroup but,it doesn't matter if you are on a domain or a workgroup you could rename the acount and change the password this is the best way.

Easy question Frank

And the answer is ....

Correct Answers: C

Renaming an account will keep the same SID. A SID is unique to each account and all rights permissions are actually assigned ti this SID therefore renaming a user will cause all rights and permissions to remain intact.

Once an account is deleted, the SID that went with that account is gone forever. Even if an account is created withe the same name, it will have a new SID and will in effect be a new account.

Copying a user profile will not copy rights and permissions.
