| 210 and 215 should be your first two. most people will agree 215 is easier than 210. As for study guides, etc. Transcender, MS Training Kit, New Riders, www.mcsefreak.com seem to be the best. | |

| at the beginning!! As you are a MCT you will probably be able to get the MOC's from your training centre for this. If not the MS Training Kits are useful and a lot of people are now recommending the New Riders books (eaiser to read not boring like MS!!). Again, you will probably be able to sit in on classes at your centre for hands-on experience if you haven't already got it set up at home etc!! | |

Hey potatohead..
I am confused by your statement that you feel "most people will agree that 215 is easier than 210" Why do you think this? I also had the same similar theory. I was reading up about the 210 test (which is next for me). I read there was alot of group policy stuff in 210. Considering 210 is "installing, configuring, and administiring Win2000" and is typically the "client side" OS, why would clients (users) need to know about group policies. I figured I would take the 215 exam first (where policies are used) and then the 210 would be cake to pass. Do I make sense? I was told that this method might not be as easy as I thought. I dont think 210 will be that hard without the proper preperation. What do you think?

| 210 test, a great book -- MOC or MS Press -- and tons of hands-on on that test network you used for your first MCSE

My company has the actual Microsoft Win2000 MCSE core books for 210, 215, etc... I purchased a book for 218 so I have the books I will need. I just need the knowledge to comprehend them. Have taken a couple online tests and SHEEESH the questions they ask. It takes me damn near an hour just to read 1 question. And by the time I am finished I forgot the whole objective. Multiply that by 50+ questions for the actual exam. I might get certified by the time I am 50! LOL

| No I cannot take the test for you -- I take so many, I barely have the time to take my own I took the 270 two weeks ago, I am taking the 218 tomorrow and the CCA in a week. I am booked.
As for the questions, if you are serious, it means that you have more of an issue with the reading part of the test than the subject matter. It happens to many of my students. I recommend taking notes as you read the questions that you find too long. It helps you focus and assimilate the data. Look for the keywords and ignore the fluff... it works every time for me! |
