| The last 2 days when I boot up my system (only from a shut-down - not on restart), I am greeted with a blue-screen. My event viewer leads me to believe that one of my system files may be corrupt.
Here's the Q - If I do a repair installation do I need to reinstall service packs? I have read conflicting information on this area for Windows 2000. Currently my system is running Win2k SP2.

| You need to reapply the service packs after repairing an installation. | |

| on if your CD-ROM came with SP2 or not. If it didn't I would personally reapply the SP as repairing the system will put some files back to their default settings. | |

| The whole damn computer blew up on me and I just finished reinstalling Windows and now have reinstall my Office apps. Good thing I keep all my data files on a separate partition
Unfortunately, I did lose all my internet bookmarks - oh well.
Well, I'm off to start reinstalling everything and get my email back next. Oh the things we'll do to ourselves when we're bored and unemployed. At least I used the opportunity to actually pay attention to the install process (from a MS test view) for a change

| THose computers..... I tell ya! I guess they do things like that. I lost a hard drive not too long ago & had to reload everything. You just gotta roll with it... Good thing you didn't lose any of your critical data files!!!! |
