| I am currently working on this 210 test which I will try in a week or so. I have already taken the Network + and was wanting to know the best course to take for the mcsa.
Is it better to have the A+, or the 218 for this certification? I talked to a friend of mine who is an administrator and he said I really needed to know the A+. Please give me your opinions.
Thanks,

| The requirements for this is as follows:
1. Pass the following MS exams 70-210, 215, 216 and 218.
or
2. Pass the following MS exams 70-210, 215 and 218 and the following CompTIA exams A+ and Network+.
If you want to move up to MCSE you will have to complete 216 as the 2 CompTIA exams are not included in the MCSE track.

You have to have the 218, it's a core requirement.
A+ is a great cert to have plus learn alot and fill in gaps studying for it.

| I'm on top of the MCSA also. I believed that 218 was an elective portion and not a core one. Any way, it will be another notch of certifications | |

It is a core exam with MCSA but can be used as an elective in MCSE!!

Thank you Frank for clearing me up, I meant 218 was a core for the MCSA since that is what this topic is about. |
