And the answer is ....

Correct Answers: B and C

A. Incorrect: This is not a valid recovery option.

B. Correct: The Recovery Console provides access to the local disk so that recovery commands can be, such as Fixmbr to repair the Master Boot Record or Disable servicename, where servicename is the name of the service to disable. The Recovery Console is the preferred method of restoring a damaged registry given that the %systemroot%\Repair\Regback folder contains current registry information.

C. Correct: You start Emergency Repair by entering the Repair Option console in Text mode of the Windows 2000 Setup routine and pressing R. There are two ways to run Emergency Repair: use Manual or Fast Repair. A Manual Repair allows you to choose which repair procedure should occur; Fast Repair runs all repair procedures. The Emergency Repair process returns the computer to its state when Windows 2000 was first installed. All system changes and updates are lost. System files are replaced with the files on the Windows 2000 Professional installation CD-ROM, and the registry is restored from the Repair folder. In Windows 2000, the registry files are not copied to the ERD as they were in Windows NT. Therefore, the %systemroot%\Repair folder is critical to a registry restore when the Emergency Repair is run.

D. Incorrect: This command does appear on the Advanced Options menu, but it is valid only for computers running Server editions of Windows 2000 and Microsoft Active Directory services.
