| If you delete the IUSR_servername account, anonymous access is no longer allowed.
Can you re-create that account?
Or is it a system default account and perhaps just disabling it would be a better choice?

| Thanks for the link - but it doesn't really answer my question.
The books suggest deleting this account to prevent anonymous access, however, didn't Microsoft tell us before that it is better to disable an account rather than delete because of issues with the SID? http://www.emo.spacespider.net/conf07.gif

| Even though I can't find it in writing, I would say that it is best not to delete an account, especially a default one. I would just deny access to anonymous users. JMO | |

| Pavlov...
Your appearance has drastically changed.
I'm not even gonna go there....
Perhaps one of you guys can tell me how to get a picture up there by your info. I'm sure it's here on the site somewhere I just haven't looked.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |
