| A | |
| Taqwus 2002-02-12, 3:48 pm |
| D.
I think the default setting is to propagate the permissions through the sub-folders
--Edit--
At least XP did it when I tried it.
Added the Power User group and it went through to 7 sublevels
...Maybee I should actually use Win 2000 Pro when I am studying for it

| Have to say A on this one. Only new folders created under \Download will inherit the permissions.
Good one Frank! | |

| Answer is A | |

| A: \Download folder would inherit every other folder that's saved within download, and that's of course if it is "checked to allow inheritability". Hence the correct answer would be "A". | |

I'm slipping!! The answer is ....
Correct Answers: D
A. Incorrect: The question states that you applied NTFS permissions to the \Download folder. This is an explicit assignment. Inherited assignments flow from a disk to folders, subfolders, and files beneath it and from a parent folder to subfolders and files beneath it.
B. Incorrect: First, an explicit assignment was made to the \Download so inheritance was not involved in this assignment. Second, by default, inheritance flows from the parent folder to all subfolders beneath it, not just the first-tier subfolders.
C. Incorrect: First, an explicit assignment was made to the \Download so inheritance was not involved in this assignment. Second, by default, inheritance flows from the parent folder to all subfolders beneath it, not just the first-tier subfolders and second-tier subfolders.
D. Correct: By default, when local permissions for a folder on an NTFS partition are modified, all subfolders beneath it inherit those permissions. You can disable this inheritance property in the Security tab of a disk's or folder's Properties dialog box. At the bottom of the Security tab, the Allow Inheritable Permissions From Parent To Propagate To This Object check box is enabled by default.
