| I've encountered this error message while trying to connect my win98 to win2k workstation using the net view \\win2k command "ERROR 5: You do not currently have access to this file. The file may be marked read only, or it may be part of shared resource such as a folder, a name pipe a queue or a semaphore" Also when i try to browse the win2k workstation on network neighborhood it prompts for password. I need help badly! | |

I have the same problem. However I found a "sort-of" solution at MS Knowledge Base article 262916. I tried Microsoft's solution, however it still did not work. My netlogon service on my 2000 pro workstation was unable to start.
My small home workgroup consists of:
2 Windows 2000 Pro computers
1 Windows 98 computer | |
