One week until Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers and I'm pumped

Frodo wants to configure his computer to dual-boot between Win98 and Windows 2000 Professional. His computer has one 30GB hard drive. There are no operating systems installed currently.

What should Frodo do to accomplish this task on his computer system without incurring any additional cost. (Choose 2).

A. Install another hard drive.

B. Install Win98 before installing Windows 2000 Professional.

C. Install Windows 2000 Professional before installing Win98.

D. Reformat and repartition the hard drive to make two separate volumes available before Frodo begins creating a multiple-boot configuration.

Good luck and see you tomorrow for the answer!!

Chipping in with answers (B) and (D).

One thing though, it was never explicitly stated that the 30GB drive already has been partitioned into one large 30GB partition.

B and D.

Am I being picky here but does the use of the word "volumes" indicate that 2K pro has been installed first? Methinks not - 98 can't access dynamic disks.

And the answers are....B and D

To accomplish with with no additional cost, Frodo should repartiton the drive with 2 separate partitions (sometimes seperate partitions are referred to as volumes, I should have stated partitions to eliminate any confusion - my bad), and then install Win98 first, then install Windows 2000.

Nice job everyone!!
