Moving users from one domain to another

| I know this is a bit off topic, but I do need some help.
This is the situation: We have a domain at work as well as a sub-domain. A user has been promoted, there for he will be no longer using the profile for the sub-domain.
Is there anyway to copy or even move his profile (desktop, mailbox, etc) from the sub-domain to the main domain without having to recreate it. We are using active directory and i figured i would have been easy, but i can't figure out how to do it.

inside the domain you can use the move command on the ad users and computers MMC but between domains you need to use MOVETREE |
