| Hello all,
I'm interested to MCSE certificate, I have some questions:
1) Would you please tell me that with which exam I should start? then which exams? (in series)
2) What does the exams cost? (to get the certificate)
3) If I get only the "6 Mike Meyers' Certification passport guides" books (with no other book and no training course) can I pass all seven exams successfully with good-mark? if no, which books are standard books?
4) Is there any site for free-training? (in html or pdf format)?
Thank you

| I would first suggest that you do some foundation study in networking.
Study the 210 and 215 simmultaneously as the material tends to overlap. A lot of people would advise doing the exams in order. I personally did it this way: 215, 210, 217, 219, 216, 218, 220. I regret not doing SQL Server and Exchange. This is something I hope to rectify in the future.
I used the MS Press Books and Sybex. I would say that the Sybex are enough to get you through the exam. Providing that you digest the information and do the practice tests at the end of each chapter. Read the explanations to the all the answers whether you got them right or wrong. Browse through the these Forums and participate in the questions of the day.
Look at the IT Job Market in the area you want to work and see what programmes and OSs they are looking for before making decisions as it can be an expensive route. A lot of networks require knowledge in different NOSs to run them.
Good luck |
