| I am a network administrator at a small business with a win2k domain server and about 12 w2k pro clients, along with about 8 windows 98 clients ... I manage this myself and have for about 3 years, upgrading from 98 to nt, etc, etc. I know just about all there is to know about setting up domains, servers, and what not. Though I already have my A+, Network +, CCNA I have never paid much attention to Microsoft tracks because in general I love linux, but I now feel the need to go and sit the tests for mcse.
I guess my question is, what skill level is the 70-210 / 70-215 aimed at?

| If I can pass it I think just about anyone can- especially if you are already working in the IT indistry. | |

| i guess if you have experience at working with the operating systems, you will know a lot of it to start with.
i would suggest finding study guides and practise exams on the internet and trying to judge if you are able to manage them before buying a book or something.
with a+, i found that questions relating to the operation of win9x were easier than those relating to nt/win2k.

with your experience you can pass the exam but i recommend to pass some free practice exam first. i say that because on the MOC books and MOC training courses i learn some stuff that i never imagine exist on 2k.
and studyng with trascender i learn a lot too....

| Thank you all for the information. I will read up a bit more about the tests and go sit a couple of them ... I scored 900 on the A exam of Pro Cert 2000 transcender, guess I'll see what B has in store for me.
Thanks Guys! | |

i highly recommend practice test and some study and i tell you why: you can administer a win2k network for 10 or 20 years and maybe you never use quotas, or need to know the ARC path rules, use recovery console, and some other advanced tools who win2k have and are "hidden" for people who donīt study, take courses or read additional information about the product.
but your knowledge and real hands job of course is a tremendous help for passing the exams.
study for 210 and you can take 215 too because have overlapped information between them.
for 216 and 217 for example you yes need study because here you need to learn and know some stuff that normally you donīt need to use like RADIUS, IAS, IPsec, RRAS, Relay agents, etc... |
