I don't know if I am in the right forum but here goes. I have a PC in Florida with PCAnywhere ver 10.0, and a PC in Georgia with ver 9.2. When the Florida PC dials into the Georgia PC the modem drops the connection after a few seconds. Are there any compatability issues between the two? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PC-Anywhere 10.0 is compatible with 9.2, so there is no problem.
Username/password ok?
Did you run the optimization-wizard?
could be that your host runs a high resolution on the Desktop, which may be too much data for dial-up.
You may have to adjust transmit-rates on both modems.
Here is Symantec's troubleshoot Site:

Let us know how you fixed it.
Good Luck!

yes.
both are compatible.
do you know if the modem drop the connection because is bad established?...... maybe the line of the modem on one of the sides are wrong or not good enough.

Fixed it. The ringing tones were different on each end. We had to add 6 commas,,,,,, after the phone number in order for the modem to pause and properly handshake with the other.

peace out
