Lets get one thing straight ! cert21 rocks.

I took the official MS course at a MS Training Center to the tune of $2300
(company paid for it) about 2 years ago.

I didn't take the test at that time because I felt I didn't study enough for it.

Since I used this site previously to get my A+ and Network+, I figured let me try the W2K prof.

I do have some experience with W2K pro at work. But nowhere near the level that appeared on the test. Given I took 1 month studying for this baby, using the 440 questions as my study material.

I also found some material *.pdf files out there to help.

Seriously, I thought I was failing the test 80 % of the time. Questions where worded similiar to the sims here but I really sweated that one out. I did 61 questions in about 75 mins.

Microsoft doesn't tell you your score now...It's PASS OR FAIL so I have no idea what percentage of the questions I got wrong. For $125 you think they'd tell you.

This is an excellent resource for me to get to my goal. Now that I have A+...
NETWORK +...and MCP..I qualify for my MCSA from Microsoft.

I am going for server 70-215 next.

Thanks to everyone here for sharing information.

It worked for me... 1 down ...........6 to go.

Since you broached the subject, I will respond. cert21 is a braindump. That is not based on rumor. That is based on personal experience. I use Measureup.com. They are approved by Microsoft. I used Measureup for 218. I learned a tremendous amount from that site, and my actual test did not even remotely resemble the practice questions. No one can convince me that cert21 is not a braindump because I personally experienced their nonsense.

First, Congrats.

But I'm confused. Are you implying that before I can take the four mandatory tests to aquire my MCSA, I first have to have an A+ and a Network+??

There are 2 ways to get your MCSA: 4 MS tests or 2 COMPTIA certs (A+ and either N+ or S+) plus 3 MS tests.
For my MCSA I had to take a total of 6 tests:
A+ OS
A+ Hardware
Net+
210
215
218

First, congratulations on your accomplishment. I hope to try for mine after first of year. I have a question concerning the non-posting of scores. To those who might know...could it be that they score by partial answers to questions now instead of having to get all multiple answers correct in the questions that require such. Or has this always been a consideration? In other words, if the question calls for 3 correct and you get 2 out of the 3 do you get credit for the two? Just wondering. Anyone know how they score?

First off, congratulations to jmishaan on passing 70-210 and good luck with 70-215!
Secondly, Tech Ranger's right. Only two ways to obtain MCSA.

A combination of either Server+/A+ or Network+/A+ and three Microsoft tests.
Or you can take 4 M$ tests for the cert.

I wouldn't know about any partial scoring for M$ exams, though it could be a possibility. CompTIA exams are currently not graded that way.
