| Hey all wanted to confirm something,
I was reading somewhere that in windows 2000 the built adapter is configured as a secondary adapter when you have a pci or agp video card, automaticaly. My experience with previous MS OSs is that the built in is the primary adapter unless you configure it as secondary or disable it in the BIOS. Am I wrong or is this new to 2k?

Windows 2000 will let you choose which one you like to use as the primary Display-adapter.
Most likely it will choose the one with the Drivers provided first, one that is supported by Win2000.

| that looked suspiciously like XP deja.
i have found that sometimes the on board will be disabled, it depends on the on board chip, I have a Compaq SFF which when i added a second disabled in the internal one. Which actually suited my needs |
