| You are the network administrator for your company's Windows 2000 domain network complete with Active Directory, DNS servers, WINS servers, and authorized DHCP servers that are all up and running.
You fire up 10 new Windows 2000 Professional computers configured with all the default installation settings. You want to make sure that these new workstations will be able to obtain their IP addresses automatically. What do you need to do? (Select the best choice)
A. Open the Network and Dial-Up connections window. Right click LAN and select Properties. Click on the Client for Microsoft Networks and then click Properties to configure automatic IP addressing.
B. Open a command prompt window and run the command ipconfig /configure to allow the computer to obtain an IP address automatically.
C. Do nothing.
D. Open the Network and Dial-Up connections window. Right click LAN and select Properties. Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties. Click onthe Advanced button and enable automatic IP addressing from the IP settings Tab.
Good luck and see you tomorrow for the answer!!

You guys are too good!
The answer is.......C
TCP/IP is the default protocol when you install Windows 2000 Professional. Obtaining an IP address automatically is the default selection for TCP/IP.
You do not need to do anything to the new computers to be automatically assigned an IP address from the DHCP server(s) on the exisiting LAN.
