Slinky is a network administrator for a small company. Tweetgirl is another network admin who has configured a Windows 2000 Professional system to act as a File Server on the network. She is currently on vacation in Aruba, working on her tan and is unable to be reached.

When Tweetgirl configured the file server, she created a folder named Help and shared this folder as Helpdesk_FAQ.

Karen, a new Sales associate (with great legs BTW ) calls Slinky stating that she can't access the shared folder. Slinky needs to give Karen permission to the folder. He logs into the file server and tries to locate the shared folder, but he is trying to recover from a hangover and being stunned by Karen's beauty so he can only remember the Helpdesk_FAQ share name.

Which of the following should Slinky do to locate Helpdesk_FAQ with the least amount of administrative effort so he can see what folder it actually is? (Select the best choice).

A. Use "My Computer" to find the shared folder.

B. Use the Search off of the Start Menu.

C. Use Explorer to find the shared folder.

D. Open System Tools, click Shared Folders and view the shares.

Good luck and see you tommorrow for the answer!

D. system tools which is under the Computer Management MMC under administrative tools.

Slinky needs to find the direct mapping of the share to the actual folder.

I am not hungover today...

.......while on the beach tanning Tweetgirl takes a break to check to see what is going on in the 70-210 forum on examnotes website. She was glad that she remember to bring laptop. She takes a look at Spid QOD. She knows the answer is D.

And the answer is....D

The easiest way to locate a shared folder with a share name that's different from the folder name to fire up System Tools within Computer Management, expand Shared Folders and click Shares.
