I started computing stuff this year and I've been working on developing my skills since then.

Don't have any technical expirience. I've just started as a new employee and the process is to certify all the staff so I'm one of them.
It is an IT COMPANY.

get as much hands on with w2k pro as possible, try and get some on server if poss, it will help seal in the info in the books if you are doing it regularly, also try and do the practices in the book again and again until it becomes second nature

I used the MS Press book and found it to be a good guide for the exam. As enforcer stated, get some hands on. Find a machine running Windows 2000 Pro and do the exercises in the book. The 2000 exams are really geared towards the hands-on knowledge. Also be sure to check this link and make the necessary changes.

It sure doesn't help if you're not studying the correct information. You may also want to get a good practice test software package. I used Transcender - perhaps the company you're working for will purchase them for you since they're pushing for the certification.

Thanks for your time

First I'm sorry to reply so late I only have access to the PC at work.
What I'm currently doing is to get first hand expirience by playing around with the PC's.

I also used online practice exams and I think CERTCONER is one of the best.
(4test.com,studynotes,ect didn't do it for me their general questions are simple and they mislead me )
