| I think the link is dead denis. I'm getting time out errors and pinging gets me nowhere.
Adam, I believe you need to turn off simple file sharing in the Folder Options applet. This should then give you the ability to manipulate your folder permissions.

| Not sure what the problem is but it works great for me .
Do a search on google using this
Windows XP System Default Behavior
and it should take you to the same page as the link provided earlier from the first link on the list.
Oh well it was the same info that fix your problem.

| The link is good to go denis. The server must have been down as I couldn't resolve the domain name or ping the IP. In anycase, its back up and the site includes some images for nice visual effects. Sorry for stealing your thunder denis. Peace. | |

| No No don't be sorry ,I have very little experience with Win XP and found that link that I wasn't sure 100% would fix the problem but look like it could.
One of my new learn thing for the day.

| It is not that difficult, make sure the partition is NTFS and make sure you go to folder options, advanced and then, there is a tick there for security tab, remove that and you will be able to see the security tab in XP folders too.

I've never used XP before, but if I had to guess, that would be it.
