i've heard different about the transcenders for MS tests... i didn't use them myself, but just make sure you have more than one source. Use ATLEAST 2 books, go through all the labs, load it on a computer and work with it, do some free practise tests on the web and you shouldn't have a prob...
good luck

and btw,, get ready to read, the MS q's are long...

Set up a Lab, get some Hands-on, as long as you stay away from Transcenders , you will be alright.

I don't like your $.02. Just kidding. Why don't you like Transcenders? I personally like them, and thats what I use to prepare. Just curious. Maybe you can open my eyes up to something better.

I found a way around those long MS questions. Speed reading
I found a speed reading book somewhere on the net and it has helped me tremendously with my studies
if anyone is interested in getting it drop me a line and I'll send you the ftp address and username/password

I dont know if I would speed read a ms exam. Sometimes only a little word can make the entire diference between two answers.

Couldn't agree with you more. I have a really bad habit of reading fast, and I have to force myself to read every little word. I always see key words that could make the difference between a right and wrong answer.

Well, my Friend, very simple..
My Studies look like this:

i read the Books, then do the Labs,if there is something, i don't understand,i do some additional Research here on Examnotes, on Technet and the MS-Sites.Back to the Books, back into the Labs....
I don't fire up the Test-Engine, until i think, i am ready. But if i do, i want that Test-Engine as close to the real thing as possible.Easy as that. I want that Test Engine to prepare me for the real thing as good as possible. And i don't meanjust learning the Questions , no. I just want to be prepared as well as possible.I do all the learning and the Labs myself, then spend over $100 on some Test Engine, it better be close to the real thing.
And Transcenders just did not do it for me, not at all.I went into that 215-Test late last Year and failed it, even though i scored 900+ on the Transcender.
So i bought a different Prep Test, " Examsimulators", and i passed every Test since with flying Colors.Excellent Lay-out, scrambled Questions, After-Test Diagnosis, and cheaper than Transcenders.
Just another one of my $0.02....

why don't you ask Ruscorp about Transcenders?

I found that transcenders helped but I was lucky enough to be able to use a friends. I used MS press and Sybex. I found that the sybex review questions were a good aid and plenty of hands on practice was a definate advantage. I decided that that the amount of money that I could have spen on test engines was put to better use buying a couple of second hand computers that met the basic requirements and a couple of NICs. The transcenders would be no good when studying for further exams but the computers will be invaluable when training for future industry standard exams.
