Where should I start on MCSA?
|
|
|
| I am trying to figure out where to start with the MCSA.
I have my A+ and N+. Should I start with the 70-210 or 70-215 or 70-218? I am just trying to figure out the best route to take.
Thanks. | |

| I am right there with ya' coop - I am hearing starting with 215 then 210. 218 isn't available yet, is it? There still aren't any study materials out for it. I'm thinking I might prepare for 210 and 215 simultaneously - not sure which order I'll take them in. Because I have minor anal tendencies I will probably attack them in order: 210 - 215 - 218 and apply my A+, Net+ towards the elective. | |

| Im studying for 210 and 215 at the same time but plan on tackling 210 first since I've heard its the hardest of the two | |

| I'm slightly different on this one:
215, 210 (Study together) then 218
Each to their own!! | |

| cross36 if you read the original post coop stated that he/she has completed the A+ and N+ if you read things instead of going to the "dumps" these two exams count as the elective therefore you do not have to complete 216 unless you move up to MCSE. | |

| Here is the Official Microsoft Web-Site:

Exam 70-216 is an elective and I would recommend using your two(2) CompTIA exams for the MS elective option, leaving you with the 70-210 (or 70-270 XP Pro), 70-215 & either 70-218 (or 70-278 both are not out yet)!
You should wait on the 70-216 exam as it is a "bear" -- ie high failure rate like the 70-240 accelerated exam was for MCSE NT 4.0 folks! |
