Greetings everyone. I have just completed the CompTIA certifications that I wanted to get, and am getting ready to work towards MCSA.

What's the word on the 210 exam? How difficult is this test for someone who's been working with 2KPro & Srvr for over a year?

Welcome to the MS Forum - if you have had over a years experience you should find the exam no problem!!

As I suggest to everyone, it is a good idea to revise both 210 and 215 together as there is a big overlap on subject matter and actually take the 215 test first.

Books can be from MS MCSE Training Kit, MOC, Sybex, Ryders it will be up to you to find the one that suits you.

I notice that people like Transcenders over Exam Drill on this one!!

wbafrank is on the Money....again.
Study 210 and 215 together,then take 210 first and 215 next.
After studying,use Transcenders to check your Skills.
If you been working on a Server in a Domain-Environment,you should be doing quite well.
Users,Groups,Permissions,Profi
les,Raid-Configurations,Group-Policies,OU's..if you familiar to all these or experimented with them,you should not have too many problems.

Glad to have you over here.

The way I have been beating them is to use MOC (expensive but effective) Hands on with a test machine.(almost a requirement IMHO) Transcender to get the feel of the exam (be prepared these are not straight forward questions

)and Exam Cram as a final followup.
This has worked well for me.
The 210 and 215 do go together and yes you will see TCP/IP and Subnetting on each of them.
Pass on the 210 is 540 I believe
Pass on the 215 is 620
Do the 217 and 219 after these and then go for the Beast the 216.
(lord just typing the 216 is enough to make my skin crawl even though I have already Passed it.)

Pav, dont even study just go take the tests, all 4 of them, you'll be fine. J\K. I'm studying for the 210 and I'm using MOC and Transcender with one year of Win2k experience
