I love the Troytecs, and would have to vote cert21 closely behind them!

I took the exam yesterday and troytec was right on. Transcender would have to come in a far second.

My vote is for Transcender, I've heard Troytec was good but they were sued by Comptia for copyright infringement and are now shutting down all there sites. If anybody is interested I posted the article in the general discussion area.

Look like Transcender is always the best.

Since I am just getting started on my MCSE I cannot answer the survey, but I am very interested in what everyone has to say on this. I used examdrill for the Comptia stuff and I went out to their site tonight and I see that they have tests for MCSE as well, in fact they have a bundle on special that contains all four core tests for about $90.00. Does anybody have any input on their product from first-hand experience?

Transcenders are best by far for exam prep. Forget TroyTech, unless you just want to "skate" the exams. You really have to know the OS, not just be able to "memorize" a bunch of questions and answers. (But don't get me started on that.)

Hahaha! That's one reason it takes me so long to get a cert. I have always passed first time, but unless I understand the material, what good is it? I am not looking for a job, I have a job. This means when I get a cert, especially if my employer forks out the bucks for it, I could and most likely will be called upon to use the information I should have gained from studying for it! I don't do skate! One of the reasons I liked the examdrill for the Comptia stuff was the readily available explanations it gives you so you can understand the principles, not just pass the test!

I totally agree. I think studying the questions with an explanation of why it is answered that way is really a good way to learn instead of just memorizing the answers. I always thought transcenders were the hardest I've seen so far compare to examcram and troytech. Good luck to all future MCP's

And it is well worth the time, right? You always pass fist time? Me too! (So far that is...)

And the key is, understanding the principles. If you can't grasp the concept, it won't do you any good to take the exam. Even if you manage to pass it, you will still be lost when it comes to "real" world issues.
