programs missing..

| I have done an upgrade to w2k pro from win98 se. The problem is I can't see any of the program that weere installed on the programs menu item.
They are still there cos if I look in control panel/add remove progs they are lsited.
any ideas? | |

| R U logged in with Admin priv? Or as a Standard User? Sometimes, a normal user can't see some programs. If you do a Search for <programname>*.exe, does it show you??? If so, then you'll have to configure some local access rights on the folders that the programs are located in (most of the time, these are under the C: drive)....this has been the case with me sometimes...... | Look and Windows Explorer C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu. Copy the Programs folder to the user profile that you usually log on with. You should see all of them then. |
