Hi I work on a large network and we have a problem with some of the pcs. When they start up they dont get an IP from the dhcp server but then once you have logged in you can renew the IP and you get one from DHCP straight away.
Has anyone seen this before?

Any suggestions would be great as this is driving some of us crazy having to renew our IP everytime we restart.

Thanks.
Geoff.

Ununstall and reinstall the tcpip stack that could fix it.. also make sure that your cable length doesnt exceed the max 100 meeters if you using Cat5 utp..

Just my 2 cents.. hope it helps
