| I have looked through the different policies, etc but I do not find a way to setup a pc to log on automatically. I have a machine that needs to log on to the machine to a local machine account. We need to setup the logon to be able to prevent user intervention if possible. I can setup the part to where they dont need the ctrl alt del to logon but from there im stuck. Anyone got an answer? | |

| You need to:
Go to Control Panel -> Users and Passwords
And remove a checkmark in the box saying:
Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer
I think it will log on as whatever account you use to make this change | |

| Oddly enough, I found the answer not long after making this post. As with all things IT, I ran with it and forgot to update this post. By the way, there are also some registry settings to set to complete the steps too. I found the info at the microsoft site. The sad thing is that after I got this info, I found out the guy had locked down the pc so much that he cant do anything at all. He has start programs and notepad and an autolaunching IE. He literally disabled everything else. OH well. |
