| I've read 3 2000Pro books including the rotten Microsoft Academic Learning series book, which leaves out at least half of the OS's features, and still don't feel I have enough knowledge to pass the test. I read a server book on Thursday and that helped a little. I picked up a CCNA book and I'm a third of the way through it and it seems so much more straight forward. Is the CCNA easier than 70-210? | |

| To answer your question on CCNA to MCSE, I guess you are confusing two different worlds.. I know that CCNA and MCSE do cover subnetting but Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCDA/CCDP/CCIE cover more than what MCSE has on routing/routed protocols. I have taken all Cisco Certs including CCIE written test and MCSE tests and could only say that MCSE is a joke of tests and too too many paper cert people who don't know nothing which I cannot blame.. We all want to progress and I respect that but so far MCSE cert is not too recognized and respected than Cisco certification. But hey this the experiences I have gone through on my interviews.. I tell them I am MCSE and they start telling me if I have hands on... I wonder why they tell me that.. but hey I don't care anymore.... good luck to you all and god bless you.. | |

Thanks for the reply. I guess you didn't understand my question. I wanted to know if the CCNA test had any obscure off the wall questions on it like 70-210 does or if it's pretty straight forward (type config t and your router is configured) kind of questions. I bet you have had a lot of job interviews. | |

| I have taken both and in my opinion the CCNA is alot harder to pass. Although there are not very many trick questions on it there is more in depth material. The 70-210 was easy to me. |
