| If I may ask, were the questions very long with irrelevant material traps? Or were they short like some of the practice exams out there? | |

| You got a 600 score for 70-210? I thought passing was a 540 now. | |

| I thought the passing score was 540 too. Did the score change. | |

| They must have changed it again. When I sat it on the 11th the passing was 540. (still have the printout at home )
Hey don't worry about it relax blow off some steam and try again. At least this time you will know what is comming.

| I believe there are two question pools for tests with different passing scores. The one I took was 540 and I've seen posts for another one with a passing score of 620. Give it another try. | |

| Does Microsoft post it on their web site what the passing score is? This is the only time I have seen anyone say it wasn't 540. And he didn't leave many details. I am planning to take this test in the near future and would like to know.

| This is the way i heard M$ set the exams:
1. If you answer the first few questions correct then you will get a lower pass mark 540=pass.(hard at the start)
2. If you answer the first few questions incorrect then the exam gets easier but the pass mark goes up. 640=pass
Plus the exam difficulty varies on the time taken to complete each question.
Is this right?
Can anyone clarify me on this?
Im yet to take my exam(taking it on Monday)
|
| Am sure U will make it next time... I too thought the pass mark was 540!!
Anyway all I do is prepare not caring much about the passmark....one should always set a higher target..
Good luck next time. | |

| Ok peeps, what I basically got when i called around still has me a bit confused. I called the place I take the test, then VUE, then M$. What I got from M$ was they cant tell what the passing score is because they have diff. tests. Fair enough, but when I asked about the form type test and said how I heard it was lowered they said there are still different tests. What do I get from this? I guess there may be diff banks of questions, I dont know. Please dont kill the messenger!

| for 3 years now ms has had 4 test formats for the NT track out.
1. Adaptive-short(30-55 ?s)
2. Fixed-Short(30or so ?S)
3. Fixed-Extended(55?s)
4. Adaptive-extended(55+?s)
They do not advertise this nor do they tell what regions get what test. It is an added wild card to make sure you know your stuff and that there are different test banks around so one testing center that has cheaters writing down the whole test or the testing center itself copying the test it does not affect the entire world of test takers.

| Don't let it get you down. You're not the first to fail one of these test, and you certainly won't be the last.
Study your a*s off and give it another go and don't look back, except that 215 is similar, so I guess you can look back at some of your study materials!
On the topic of different scores, they tell you at the beginning of the test on the computer what the passing score is. Mine was 620 and a week or so later other people were saying it was 540.
Good luck... | |
