| Hi there.
You need to enable ICS on your NIC that connects to your cable modem, not your secondary NIC or primary NIC for your laptop.
Your secondary NIC will automatically be assigned the IP address of 192.168.0.1, and you would need to set your laptop as a DHCP client.
That's about it! If all goes well, you'll know it. One thing to remember is ICS doesn't always work as advertised. I couldn't get it work after hours of anger and frustration, so I assigned all my clients static IP addresses (in the 192.168.0.x range), default gateway, and primary/secondary DNS to 192.168.0.1 (my secondary NIC) and it works.

| you need to find a proxy server. there are a ton out there for free. download one and follow the directions. if that isn't what you want then you can go and spend about 200.00 and buy a linksys router. | |
