You can get a discount until Sep. 30 for either scheduling it online or just register with Prometric then choose the 70-210 exam if you were going to purchase online and get the code to buy on the phone. I was able to use it on the phone as well, doesn't hurt to ask.

If you like me and uenmployed at the present and can't afford $1500 - 2000 worth of training, I would say before the end of this month take the exam to get the feel of what they are looking for. If you look at it this way 1500 vs. 150 to retake it you do the math. Not much to lose but, everything to gain if you happen to pass the first time.
I have not had an employer yet ask me about my score on an exam, all they care is that you have the cert from my expierience.
