| I just finished the Sybex book for 210. If this were my only source I would fail hands down. This is a total waste of money. I bought it when I was first thinking of doing the W2K track (before I knew any better). No mention of UNIX printing. Touches verrry lightly on Novell, and the TCP/IP part is a joke. I am very disappointed with this book because the rest of their book have been great. If you are using this book do yourself a favor and pick up Exam Prep or the Microsoft book as a second resource. This one is just too lightweight.
Just My opinon. | |

| I loved the Sybex books for CompTIA's exams, but they have been slipping lately. Have heard that for MCSE, it is best to steer clear of them. | |

| Hi ya mate,
just a quickie, this is my opinion but I think that the Sybex books compliment each other and were either written (or edited) to be that way. If you study the core four then most of the information for the exams is there. Admittedly, some of the technical information may not be correct but, with regards to Win 2k, which book has all of the answers??? My reply to that would be, NONE of them.....Don't rely on any one source.

| I agree about not using a sole source for your studies. And you are right about any one book having all the answers (possible exception of the Resource Kit) But after going through 3 books at a time (yes I am crazy) this is by far the worst one. In my opinion the best way is to use Exam Prep, Exam Cram and the MCSE training Kit. You may be right about the other 3 books in the core working together but the thing is all of the core exams (with the exception of 216) are all intertwined anyway. The Exam Prep does a good job of explaining the rest of the stuff sybex left out and in much more detail.
Of course please realize I am a book hound and have the following for my studies
Sybex
MCSE training Kit 210
MOC
Exam Prep
Exam Cram
Troy Tech
(I know I am crazy. I drive my wife nuts )
Well anyway I will find out how nuts I am next week. I am gonna go for it and then on to server

| My choice for the 210 exam
Alan Carters book - expensive but can be used for all core exams.
ExamCram - Absoutely great for the 210, they really got it right with this one.
Practice exams -
