Don't be afraid of actually trying things on your home network. Don't spend all your study time with the books. When doing the self test questions, don't be to concerned about getting the right answer. Concentrate on asking yourself: "Do I understand this topic?, Would I be able to answer other questions in the same area?". Feel free to disagree with the answers that your self test software gives. Try to explain to someone (e.g. this forum) why you disagree. Either you need to learn more or the self test software is wrong (they often are). In both cases this forum may help you and supplement whatever you use for study.

Now, try to write down some of the questions you had on the exam. If you can't remember the exact question you may still remember the topic. This will excersize your memory and also help you find weaker and stronger areas.

You will ace it the next time!

I think your exam approach is also important, it may not have been your problem, but I'm sure some will agree with me that it does help. Here's mine, it's helped me through many academic and I.T exams

1) Come early! walk around...drink coffee, look at notes and then put them away...don't even think about the exam

2) upon entering the room, write everything you memorized (regardless of dificulty) down on the scribble boards...remember, time is'nt ticking, better now then during! Write down subnets, ip classes, osi ...anything you need.

3) take the practice test for fun; even if you don't answer their 'practice' questions

4) read the N.D.A, take a deep breath...and go

I hope I don't come across as oversimplifying the situation, everyone get's stressed about exams..just get into a routine and I'm sure it will help your mind relax a bit and everything will come flowing back.

Sorry for the long post! Good Luck everyone!
