| I was having quite a bit of trouble with Internet Printing (IPP) and now that I've figured it out, I thought I'd post my solution here so that maybe someone else could learn from my experience. Here's how it went.
Box A = Win 98 Machine connection to Box B via Dial-up
Box B = Win2K Pro machine and IIS 5 on cable modem with CanonBJC 3000 printer.
Printer drivers wouldn't install correctly over the internet, so I installed the CanonBJC locally on Box A. In the Printers folder, I adjusted the driver of the Internet Printer to use the driver I had configured locally with the "Print using the Following driver option" while leaving the "Print to the Following port" option untouched.
On Box B I was getting a problem with "Downlevel document" looping in the system and nothing was printing, so I applied this little trick: http://support.microsoft.com/suppor...s/Q137/0/65.asp
Sent a Notepad memo from Box A to the printer on Box B via the internet and everything worked.
Hope I was able to help someone.
