Are there lists of specific things to memorize for the 70-210 test like there were for the A+ exam. For example, on the A+ test it was recommneded that you have memorized all of the IRQ's, DMA's and Port #'s. Is there something similar for the 70-210 or is the test based more on general knowledge than rote memorization.

get exam cram for 210 and you will see the core of the needed info for the test.
Memorizing is not the key. Understanding and practice is... and that leads to memorization

W2k pro is more on understanding than memorizing but you may need to remember some stuffs such as which section of the answer file should have what. Good luck for your exam

While the Freak has it down with memorizing isn't what you need for this exam, you will need to memorize the dos commands in 2000. Know what Ipconfig, Netstat, Tracert, and ARP do. Know what they look like, and UNDERSTAND why you would use them. Some of the exhibits on my test had these screens, and I can tell you from familiarity in using these command line utilities if you understand why you would use them, the questions become gimmies! Also, if you want to memorize a good feature in 2000. Try the services and their dependences. I don't know if they would help you in a M-Soft exam, but surely they would help you in the real world environment as many times services are the source of troubleshooting. Good Luck!

aplus is hardware, 210 is not. there is nothing to memorize, this is not a physical thing. forget about memorizing braindumps or answers to questions. it just wont work, these exams are #1 adaptive, they get harder as you answer more correctly, each one is different, and they can be worded 3diff ways. i have heard of 3 identical questions on one exam worded diff and its really tricky, thats the key they want to make sure you know your s*&^% to avoid people cheating to get in the door. even if you were lucky and they have tests like that, when you get a job dealing w/ this if you dont know your stuff, you'll never make it. i am in the it field and the guys who passed the mcse exams by memorizing are dumb as s*&$%. they never last long. so study and really try to get an understanding so however the question is worded you wont be fooled. Key is that the answer is actually somewhere in the questions most the time which helps elminate the wrong answers. GOOD LUCK
